Indian hockey team continues their winning streak in the Asia Cup by defeating Pakistan to 4-0.

In Asia Cup hockey India defeated their arch-rival Pakistan to 4-0 in the Super 4s in Dhaka on Saturday. This win over Pakistan will lead team India to the finals of Asia Cup.

Satbir Singh (39th minute), Harmanpreet Singh (51st), Lalit Upadhyay (52nd) and Gurjant Singh (57th) were the scorers for India.

The game started out for India a bit slowly. Even though first quarter didn’t see any goals scored, the game was in the possession of Pakistan.  The second quarter saw both the teams looking for an opening as India came close to scoring their first goal of the match but didn’t succeed to move the score board.

It was in the third quarter the score board moved as in 39th minute Indian player Satbir Singh gave the team a lead. The next three goals were the continuation of the first goal.

India scored quick goals in the last two quarters of the game. Though Pakistan got some penalty corners initially but failed to use the opportunities.

By this win, India not only get seven points and be the toppers of the stage but also they proved the complete domination over Pakistan. India have defeated Pakistan in every match played this year.

India will now look onto the finals on Sunday against the winning team of Korea vs Malaysia fixture, Let’s see whether India will continue their winning streak or not.
