As per the October’s FIFA rankings, it is seen India have went two place up from the last month’s rankings. The Blue Tigers were ranked 107th in September and have now finished at 105th in the latest rankings.

Since last month the team has played only a single game in which they had a convincing victory over Macau in Asian Cups qualifiers which gave them direct qualification to AFC Asian Cup 2019. This result helped India move upwards. India now have 328 rating points, a rise of 12 points from the previous month’s tally and they are just below Zimbabwe and above Niger.

This ranking is still one of the lowest ranking the team has acquired this year as they managed to come in the FIFA’s top 100 list this year. Indian team has managed an undefeated run since 2016.

India will face Myanmar and Kyrgyz Republic next in AFC Asian Cup 2019 qualifiers on 14th November. These matches will be helpful for Indian coach Constantine to test his team’s bench strength as the team has already qualified for the tournament.

If Indian team win over these two nation in the qualifiers at a convincing margin, India has a chance to come in te top 100 list.
