Indian women’s cricket team captain Mithali Raj raised to number one position in the latest ICC ODI rankings for batswomen.The previous number one Australia’s Meg Lanning dropped to number four as she couldn’t play in the England series due to injury. Ellyse Perry of Australia and Amy Satterthwaite of New Zealand also jumped one place each to be at second and third spots respectively.

With 753 points Mithali leads the point table now, while Perry and Satterthwaite are on 725 and 720 points respectively.

In the Top Ten Women Bowlers List India’s Jhulan Goswami is in number 2 position with 652 points only behind the South African Marizanne Kapp with 656 points.

England dethroned the defending champions Australia from the number 1 spot earlier this month,starting the series ahead on decimal points with both teams on 128 points.

Australia regained there number one position as they were able to get 4 points from the series win (2-1) against England.

South Africa will play at home against India from 5 to 10 February 2018.
