And finally, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and their fans got something to cheer as their star captain Virat Kohli has announced his date of return to action in the Indian Premier League.

The RCB captain is eyeing to return to the field against Mumbai Indians at the M Chinnaswamy stadium in Bangalore on Friday, April 14. This was announced by Kohli himself and he also wrote,”can’t wait to get back onto the field.”

Kohli has been out of action for three weeks after he sustained a shoulder injury during the third Test against Australia in Ranchi in March. Without him, Bangalore won one game and lost two including last night’s (April 10) 8-wicket thrashing from Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) indore.

Can’t wait to get back onto the field. Almost there now 💪✌️😃. 14th April ⏳

In his Insta post, he wrote: “Can’t wait to get back onto the field. Almost there now ??????. 14th April ?” even though he had question mark at the end of the date, he was seen lifting weight in the video which shows that his shoulder is better.

Earlier, Kohli had said that he will return only when he thinks he is 120 percent fit. With three more days to RCB’s next fixture, Kohli is hopeful that he can achieve fitness and return to the ground with full fitness.
