At last Rohit Sharma had the last laugh by securing victory from the jaws of defeat in a nail-biting encounter to lift the IPL 10 title at the Rajiv Gandhi stadium in Hyderabad on Sunday.
It was Mumbai Indians bowlers who deserves the credit for defending a low total 130 runs and emboss their name on the coveted trophy for the third time, making them the successful team in IPL history.
Rohit Sharma decided to bat first in the final so as to set a big total and put some pressure on RPS. But Mumbai Indians endured batting collapse and half of the team was back in the pavilion for just 65 runs.
When Pune was controlling the match with tight bowling, the disappointed skipper Rohit was seen taking a nap. But, he had to wake up after Shardul Thakur stormed to run out Karn Sharma, which led to heavy cheers from the players and the spectators.
