Virat Kohli on thursday on the event of unveiling his own brand collabrated with the branded sports and lifestyle company motivated all the youth to be fit and come out to be more involved in outdoor sports rather than wasting time on social media. The Indian captain, who is known for his impressive fitness as much as for his outstanding cricketing skills, also advised the senior generation to be fit from finding time in this busy corporate life.

“These days you would see kids playing video games and using social media a lot more than outdoor sports. Physical activity and fitness is very important. And my message is not just for the youth, it is for everyone in our country,” said Kohli at the launch of his new lifestyle brand, One8, launching in collaboration with Puma.

“I want to encourage kids to come out and play sports. When I was growing up there were no such facilities such as stadiums but we created our own badminton courts out of small areas and that’s how you develop, it’s not about going to stadiums to play and train yourself, but you can create your own space and play.” said Kohli.

He also said that we would reach a stage where there is an urgent need of going out for walking or jogging, and only then we will do it because it is a crisis situation, but don’t wait for that last minute and take time out for fitness daily, which in turn will influence people around you in the right way.
