All-rounder Hardik Pandya makes spectacular catch to dismiss Martin Guptill in T20 against NZ
India literally got off to a flying start against New Zealand in their T20I in New Delhi. Wednesday’s match was filled with so much of special moments in Indian cricket. First of all it was Indian pacer Ashish Nehra’s farewell match, and also the win over New Zealand marked team India’s first T20 win against New Zealand.
Adding to these there was Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya’s stunning catch to dismiss Martin Guptill which almost shook the Feroz Shah Kotla crowd. Eventhough Hardik failed to contribute with his bat as he was out for duck, but helped India to shatter New Zealand at the very start.
Hardik took the catch when New Zealand were at 6-0 from 1.3 overs. Hardik sprinted on the long-leg boundary and dived full length to send Guptill back. He was mobbed by his teammates but the most priceless reaction came from former skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni.
