The Indian cricket control board informed international cricket council about their suspicion on the IS attack in Manchester on Tuesday. The terrorist attack has struck just before the commencement of ICC champions trophy 2017. As per the current schedule, the ICC mega event is to be held from June 1 to 23rd.

The doubt regarding team’s safety has been notified to the ICC by the temporary secretary of BCCI, Amithabh Chawdary. India’s campaign will start on June 4th against Pakistan. The news about the attack came while the Indian team was ready to fly.

The message given to ICC has stated about the stay, travel, and the safety of the players in the competition field. Chawdary cleared that there is no change in teams travel plans. The team led by Virat Kohli will set off to England on this Wednesday.
