The third T20 International match played between India and New Zealand marks return of International cricket to Thiruvananthapuram.With the series tied 1-1 this match will really turn out to be athrilling encounter.This will be the first T20I to be  played in the state.

In 1998 at the University Stadium West Indies played against India.West Indies won the match and went on to win the series.New Greenfield stadium is all set to host the game.This field can also be used as afootball stadium.It has a capacity of 50,000,which includes 400 VIP seats and 500 seats for differently-abled people.

Thousands are expected to come.But the main worry of spectators are the rain.Now Kerala is receiving rain as part of the northeast monsoon when thundershowers are likely. The average duration of rain is one-and-a-half to two hours.The main peculiarity is that  stadium can start a match within ten minutes of the end of rain because of good drainage facilities. The pitch looks like a favorable one for the batsman,ball will come on to the bat nicely.

Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and Malayalam superstar Mohanlal will be coming to watch the exciting finisher.

The series is currently tied.India won the first match by 53 runs and New Zealand won the second match by 40 runs.
