After sealing a must win match against Sun Risers Hyderabad in the eliminator match, the Knight Riders skipper took to twitter to post a figurative message. Kolkata were definitely on the edge of getting eliminated as heavy shower threatened the match. But fortunately, the game resumed after more than three hours of the scheduled time and Kolkata Knight Riders were given to chase down a revised target.

The target set for Kolkata Knight Riders by the Duckworth-Lewis system was 48 runs from six overs. Though this target seemed to be an easy one for KKR, they started their innings with a collapse and were reduced to 12 for 3 in the second over. but Gautam Gambhir led from the front and played an unbeaten 19-ball 32 run knock to guide his side to a thrilling win.

As everything went fine for them, Gambhir took to twitter to express his relief and he also made a witty comment about the four losses his team conceded in the last five matches.

“4 loses out of 5 before last night v @SunRisers,seems @KKRiders scriptwriter was having a cartridge-refill! Hope dis one lasts till May 21st,” he tweeted.

KKR leader didn’t forget to thank the Karnataka State Cricket Association for the brilliant drainage system that made the game possible even after the heavy showers.

in an another  tweet that was tagged to SRH mentor VVS Laxman, Yuvraj Singh and David Warner, Gambhir  showed the level of his sportsman spirit by saying that defending champions showed a great fight in their effort to defend a target of 48 runs in 6 overs.
